Data Methodology
Last updated October 12, 2026 · This page is published by MemSignal.
How a figure on MemSignal gets to be on the page — and what it does and does not mean.
Quote record fields
The table below describes a priced quote record. It is not the layer that is live today: spot listings publish no price.
| Field | What it means | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Part number | Manufacturer’s own ordering code, unmodified | Supplier report |
| Date code (DC) | Manufacturing week/year of the stock being quoted | Supplier report |
| Quantity | Units the supplier reported available at quote time | Supplier report — not independently audited |
| Unit price | Indicative price for the stated quantity and DC | Supplier report |
| Quote time (UTC) | When we received it | Our system |
| Valid until | Until when the supplier undertook to hold the terms | Supplier report |
| Cargo grade | Brand-new original / Excess stock / Pulled — the condition of the batch on offer | Supplier report, confirmed at verification |
What a quote is not
Trade quotes shown on this site are not equal to global transaction prices. A quote is a supplier-reported, time-bound indication. It is not an offer we can hold, not a price you can rely on after its validity date, and not a guarantee of availability, date code or lead time.
Verification steps
1. Sample sufficiency
2. Timestamping
3. Source review
4. Manual review
Trend figures
Directional charts are computed from the quote records above over a stated window. A percentage change is always shown with the window it covers and the date it was cut. Where the underlying sample is thin, we publish the direction and withhold the number.
Specifications
Part specification pages are compiled by our own engineering team from publicly available information. They are a convenience, not a substitute for the manufacturer’s document, and we link to the manufacturer rather than hosting their file. Verify all parameters before design-in.
