Kioxia Posts 80.4% NAND Operating Margin, Guides to a Flat December Quarter

Kioxia Holdings reported revenue of ¥2,480.0 billion and IFRS operating profit of ¥1,994.7 billion for the July–September quarter, the second quarter of its fiscal year ending March 2027, in an earnings release on 30 October 2026. The operating margin was 80.4%, and revenue rose 40.3% from the previous quarter. The company attributed the increase to higher average selling prices driven by data-centre demand for generative-AI applications, together with higher bit shipments.
In the accompanying presentation the company put the quarter-over-quarter rise in US-dollar average selling prices including product mix in the mid-20% range, the like-for-like increase in the low 30% range, and bit-shipment growth in the low-teens percent range.
For October–December Kioxia guided to revenue of ¥2,500 billion and IFRS operating profit of ¥1,995.0 billion, describing the outlook as roughly the same level as the reported quarter at an assumed rate of ¥157 to the dollar versus ¥161 actual, a currency effect it estimates at about ¥55 billion on operating profit.
The board resolved the company’s first dividend since listing, ¥90 per share on a pre-split basis totalling ¥47,937 million, effective 8 December. Kioxia said its 2027 capacity is almost fully allocated and that multi-year supply agreements already cover well over half of planned 2028 shipments on a capacity basis.
